Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the RateBud app for iPhone and iPad. By downloading or using RateBud, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Your licence to use RateBud
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use RateBud on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with these terms and the App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law.
Your content
Everything you create in RateBud — items, ratings, notes, photos, and collections — is yours. It is stored on your device and synced through your own iCloud. We don't claim any ownership of it, and because it stays on your device and in your private iCloud, we don't access, moderate, or back it up for you. You are responsible for your content and for keeping your own backups (for example, through iCloud and the app's CSV export).
Acceptable use
You agree to use RateBud only for lawful purposes and not to use it in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the app, or interfere with anyone else's use of it. You must not use RateBud to store or share unlawful content.
RateBud Pro & purchases
RateBud is free to use. RateBud Pro unlocks additional features and is available as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase, sold through the App Store.
- Subscription payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions, and turn off auto-renew, in your Apple Account settings after purchase.
- Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region. You can restore an eligible previous purchase using Restore Purchases.
- Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with App Store policy; we cannot issue refunds directly.
App Store terms
RateBud is licensed, not sold, to you, and your use is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). Where these terms conflict with Apple's EULA, Apple's EULA governs to the extent of the conflict. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it.
Availability & changes
We may update, change, or discontinue features of RateBud over time. We may also update these terms; when we do, we'll revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
Disclaimer of warranties
RateBud is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that scanning, recognition, or AI suggestions will be accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of RateBud. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your country of residence.
